Visual communication and critical mapping are key instruments in the emancipation of narratives and discources. Maps are never neutral and reveal positionalities. Maps have power, and have for centuries been used to shape world views, usually by those that have the power. Therefore, we need always to question the intention behind the map. Maps however, can also contribute to reshaping the status quo and contribute to revealing the urban pluriverse. This open-access tool EC(h)O projections—Southed by default—allows you to export different projections of the world.
